Yup I agree with Lilmisssprite, I remember in high school this new kid showed up. I talked to him first and he started hanging around “our crowd” When my bestfriend found out that I thought he was cute, she threw herself at him. They started dating and things went way wrong and he said to me “ I should have picked you” and I said well it is to late now. And in another case I backed off and they guy chased me. So I would do what you think is right. And to be honest I don’t think any “friend” should even put you in this situation.
