it depends, if you still have feelings for trhe person it can end up being akward or weird, but if you have both moved then I’d say its fine

If you still have feelings for them, being friends with them right away usually isn’t a good idea because it just makes you hurt more. But in the future I think friends are okay depending on the circumstances.

it depends how you feel about that person. if you guys are both very close go ahead but if it is going to cause you pain if your ex talks about another guy then you should put off being friends.
