How do I make my friend stop acting like she's my mom and telling me how I should be?

Some people have this sort of controlling personality, if that is what it is then you need to set boundaries (i.e. stand up for yourself). Some people it’s the way they act because they want to take care of others, if that is the case then you need to explain firmly but gently that you love how much she thinks about you and cares for you, but you need to be able to make your own decisions.

You can either blow it off or just let her know. People do things because they don’t think they are affecting the other person. They typically will stop if they know that is how they are coming across. If she doesn’t stop, then be more assertive.

just tell her ull make ur own decisions about the issue and take more self control over whatever ur doing and shell c ur like independent and she wont act like your mother maybe shes just trying to protect u or help you out u shudnt tell her to not act like your mother all messed up because shes just looking out for u

Tell her that you don’t like the way she is with you. Friendship should be with understanding but keep personal stuff in oneself is very important.
