yes going to an adult is a very good idea. but i honestly think (only because i used to it and unfortuently every once in while i stilll do) you should talk to your friend about it first and try and convince them to talk to an adult first if that does not work yes i probably would recomend to go to an adult by youself. yes your friend might be mad at first but eventually they will learn that you were only trying to help...i hopoe this helps
my best friend used to be emo and cut herself and honestly i used to try to make her stop but u just need to let her/him do it and dont judge her/him i mean if that is how they deal with it then i guess u have to let them cut there self i knwo it is hard to know that they do it but rele u can stop em
you can give their idea a try but it is a serious thing.. if you don't feel good about it i would definitely get an adult involved.. you are young and that doesn't mean your dumb but sometimes more maturity/ life experience is required to deal with that type of issue. be well =)
It is a serious situation. You should tell an adult who you trust so that they can deal with it. She might hate you for a while but you would be looking out for her and if she loves you she will understand later. You need to be strong and do whats best for her. good luck =)
try and talk to her about it and see why if you think she really honestly needs help then ask someone else that you think would know what to do or how to help but never get mad or act like you know every thing just try and help

sit her down and talk to her, find out why she's doing it and try to talk to her about what can help her stop doing it.
You have to get professional help for her. Self-mutilation signals immense emotional/mental distress.
dont judge her!
