I have a close friend whom I want to shove a fistfull of tic tacs down his mouth because some mornings his breathe is so rank, I sometimes get dizzy lol.
A close friend you should be able to tell. Of course you want to be tactful. I'd say dude, "I've heard that bad breath can be associated with underlying health problems, I seen it on tv. I'm a little concerned about you cause I've been noticing that your breath stinks. Are you ok? If I where you I'd get some Listerine and brush my teeth just to see if that fixes it and make sure I wasn't sick"
i have a co worker with a really bad breath ive told him to brush his teeth more often straight up and sometimes i just ask him whether he brushed his teeth today or not? i can see it kinda hurts his feeings when i say it sometimes but he gives me a hard time at work and often pulls pranks on me so we cool. if he was friend id be more gentle and maybe offer a gum or something.
ask them if they would like a piece of gum or a tic tac.your friend needs to be told by a friend. they bad breathe for a reason. they could possibly have an infection starting and doesn't even realize it. or it could be as simple as something they have eaten and haven't been able to brush.
they're your friend right ? right. so, be real with them. just pull them aside and notify them, offer them some gum or a mint. you'd only hurt their feelings if you didnt tell them.
Lol offer him gum, or go for a 'random' trip to the gas station or corner store if he comes to your house, and buy yourself and him a pack of gum or some mints?(:
i totally agree instead of telling my boyfriend when he has bad breath i offer him a piece of gum that way his breath is fresh and feeling not hurt haha
ask if they want a mint or gum. and if they say no just say but your breath smells and make it a joke. they will proly laugh. iv done it before
offer a mint. say "here have a mint" if they decline say "no really have a mint" if they decline again say. "no really you want a mint!"

I am very blunt and direct. i would say ever heard of a tooth brush. but if it was a stranger or something i put up with it ><
LOL, I'd totally be like: "Dude, your breath stinks. What's wrong with you?" I've very blunt when it comes to my friends.
If you say he is a close friend then you should be able to discreetly tell him about his breathe...
Just offer them gum and if there breath continues to be a problem daily then just talk to them.
