How do I apply foundation?

how do I apply foundation without making my face white?

Answer #1

well make sure to get the right tone. You should apply it with a small triangle sponge and not your fingers. since your fingers carry a lot of bacteria that will get under the foundation and clog your pores that will cause pimples. If you use concealor make sure you go one shade light on that :)

well, start off by using a cleanser on your skin… Make sure your face is clean… Put some foundation on your palm, and to make it even, add some cream to it… Not too much cream though!… Apply in ‘ANTICLOCKWISE’ movements… Take a tissue paper… And dab it on your skin… Slap on gloss, mascara and your set!

danielleee is right, if you get a foundation that matches your skin tone correctly, it won’t make your face look white. Also, try different brands of foundation. I had a kind that used to make my face look lighter than I really am as well. :)

The best way to do it is called “stippleing”…you use a sponge…not fingers they will cause smears…get the closest color to your natual skin..apply a pea sized amount to the sponge and “blot” it onto your face…almost like your stamping a piece of paper with a rubber stamp…do it all over your face…start at the forehead and work your way down..use more or less if you need…when done blot with tissue and check even-ness

Okay, the big new thing is- a foundation brush– it evens out your complextion better than a sponge or your fingers- a brush can be a bit expensive but its worth it

And for your colour of foundation, start mixing foundation colours to get your actual skin tone, plus when shopping for them dab the colour onto the back of your hand and match with your face as its the most likely place to match your face

Good Luck Peace

I Have Been Using Foundation for About 3 Years now, Because the tones of the skin on my face are uneven.

Well My Advice would be to get

  1. A Foundation that is a few shades darker than your normal skin tone, But not to were you look orange.

  2. I Aply Mine with my fingers (washed) But you Can Buy Face Sponges almost anywere & Those work Great also Without making your face look ioly.

=]

Anyways, I Hope that helps.

just dont get a light foundation, if you have a foundation that is your skin tone it wont make it white.

Answer #8

Go to a beautician or cosmetologist and get them to find a color that matches your skin tone. Foundation is bad for your skin so don’t forget to use toner!
