foreign exchange...

so I got my parents to agree for me to do a foreign exchange program, and they want me to go to school in another country, but they don’t want me gone for 6 months.

do you know of any programs during the school year that fun for 3-4 months? it would be super helpful.

Answer #1

well I’d really like to go to italy, or somewhere like sweden/norway/netherlands, because its part of my heritage. otherwise spain because I know spanish… but I’d be happy with anywhere!

Answer #2

thanks! :] yeah I know my parents won’t even let me go six months… haha. stupid parents.

(look at that, two real answers.)

Answer #3

You can go to yfu.org (youth for understanding) and they have different countries that have different scheduling. I want to study abroad myself but I have to get a job first. My parents will only let me go six months, I want to go a year…

Answer #5

thanks, it did! yeah some programs are for 2 months during the summer, but I think the best part of foreign exchange would be going to school there, you know? so yeah I’ll just talk to my counseler when school starts- thanks!

Answer #6

okay, so no one on here knows. that doesn’t mean know one knows. I really don’t care if I get answers on here- funadvice.com is not my life. it was just an idea someone gave me.

and didn’t you just say you were ‘over this?’ hmm.

Answer #7

hun, thats not a big deal, I specialize in drama. do you want a big deal? and that is totally true nobody knows. just wait you won’t get any answers.

Answer #8

yeah, w/e. and your answer wasn’t exaggerating all I said was ehhno. you don’t have to get your panties in a bunch.

I’m over it. have a nice life :]

Answer #9

I felt bad for you because you didn’t have any answers, would you rather me feed you some bullsh*t about it? anyways you won’t get any answers nobody’s going to know that.

Answer #10

completly ignores above conversation

I think that foreign exchanged programs, are only for a fixed period of time. if your school has the program, all of the students will most likely have to stay for as long as they say, which will probably be the 6 months that your parents dont want you to. there may not be one that is that short. talk to your guidance counselor about the length of the program, maybe she can find one for you.

♥i hope this helped!♥

Answer #11
