Why do fleas prefer to bite some people over others?

in my family i am the only one that ever gets bit by fleas. They never bug my mother, sister or step dad but i will constantly be covered in flea bites why do they only bite me?

It’s quite possible that it has something to do with your blood type. I’m not sure about fleas, but it’s been proven that mosquito’s prefer people with type O blood. Our skin releases certain chemical markers related to certain blood types that some insects are attracted to more than others.

you need to fix the Flea problem ,especially if they are biting you…Fleas can give you what ever the dog /cat has got that it bit before….I think tape worms can be passed on to humans from fleas. I have heard eating garlic may help the fleas to stop biting you,but garlic is bad for cats/dogs so dont feed it to them .

BadBoyVibes is right, fleas are nothing you want in your home. They are responsible for a whole lot of nasty stuff to humans including tapeworms. Although typhoid fever was blamed on the mice population…it wasn’t the mice but the fleas on the mice the were the real culprits. Try using Gold Bond body powder after you bathe. Fleas can’t stand it. If they are that bad you may want to sprinkle it on your pillows, mattress, etc.
