go to your local police department ans ask for the registered sex offenders in your area all sex sex offenders must be registered.

You might want to think about this. Only a tiny percent (you’re looking at less than 10%) of children are molested or raped by a stranger. A huge percent of them are abused by a family member. And the next huge chunk are sexually abused by someone close to the child (family friend, etc). Finding out whether a pedophile lives in your neighborhood does not ensure your child being safe.

you can call up your local law enforcement and ask them about pedophiles living near/around you. remember, pedophiles can always travel, and you should ask the poolice about why exactly they are labeled pedophile. Explain to your children what is and isnt appropriate (might be an awkward situation, but it is important to know, and you may just prevent something from happening just by that conversation) and get together with other neighbors in your neighborhood and explain to them how you feel about the dangers of pedophiles, and get a neighborhood watch program going. Child protection can be a team effort, and it’s always easier to join forces than to do it on your own. i
