How can I find a good tattoo artist that is willing to apprentice me?

Answer #1

erm, id start with teh yellow pages or similar and just look through the tattoo artists and give them a call.. phone as many as needed. if 1 turns you down dont look at it as a bad thing.. just carry on phoning ;) if its the same as in teh uk and im guessing it will be. youll need a health and safety certificate ;)

Answer #2

should I bring a portfolio or something???

Answer #3

oh 1 more thing… if you do get a yes here and a yes there make sure you note the address down and go check the place out and ask for their certificates and stuff. a good tattooist will have them on the wall.

Answer #4

Answer #5

Answer #6

no probs and good luck :)

Answer #7

I can tell you how most people really get apprentice ships in that career and telephoning a shop is a joke and they arent going to take you serious. In our shop every single person that the artist took under their wing and gave them the apprentice ship came into the shop, had good energy, and brought a portfolio of drawings or tattoos they had done. You make a much better impression in person.
