Fight against make up at school

Ok, so at school, we’re not allowed to wear any make up, No like a wee bit of make up. And like, at school everyone just feels really ugly, and don’t feel very confident. And on our school webiste, we’ve done a blog on it about how we feel, hopping that staff at school will see it, but I am also doing a potetion at school, and like tomorrow at school I’ve got some baper and we’re gonna get people to vote for it, so we can make up.

Is there anything else we can do.

Your 13?! That’s just stupid you and your friends trying to get the teachers to bend the rule. You need like a senior to do it or something, they actually look good wearing makeup! 13 year olds shouldn’t even need makeup you;s all just look like little drag queens with cakey makeup because half of you;s dont even know how to apply it. Seriously, give up!

not even lip gloss?

I’d say getting in the good books of someone higher up in the school might help. Let them know how you really feel, but don’t drown them in problems in a group, maybe just a few of you. Let them know you understand their perspective, but as a teenager you can’t exactly help feel self-concious!

Good luck, hope it helps.

Woahh your school must be pretty strict! Even though I wear make up to school I’m not sure if it’s such a good thing as some of the girls turn up looking like drag queens…

but to answer your question, why not just get the teachers to understand that you’re not going to absolutely smother yourself in make-up (that’s probably what they’re worried about)- and show that you can wear in it in a subtle classy way by, instead of having an own clothes day, holding a ‘make-up’ day. Even use it as an excuse to give money to charity- as during an own clothes day you’de pay £1 t o wear your own clothes, organise a day when people bring in a £1 to wear make-up (money going to charity of course!) And make sure that everyone keeps it simple and natural- the teachers may realise that it’s not such a bad thing and it may persuade them to let you wear it every day (hopefully, anyway!)

right well I think its a good thing not being allowed make up at school everyone is as ugly as the other and there wont be any beauty contest of who wears the best make up…

also little girls wearing make up is tasteless my sister is your age and she doesnt wear any make up unless its a wedding (not even at school parties) she chooses not to.

I dont think the school will bend to your will but good luck

I would give the URL of the blog to a teacher you like/trust and ask them to look at it - and give you feedback please…nothing wrong with that - that way you can find out if change is possible…I wish you the best !!

Answer #7

tell every girl to wear makup, the principal cant sespend all of yous, or talk to ya momz about it

Answer #8

good luck tomorrow, I’m in a 6th form now so can do what I like but I wore make-up to school everyday throughout secondary and can not leave the house with out it, don’t expect big changes but maybe just a little mascara, conclealer, founation, eyeliner and lipgloss. good luck x
