FFXI ON PS3

ok here is the deal. I bought a PS3 80gb. and I have FFXI that I used to play on my ps2. but now I want to install it on my ps3. and it wont work. I have all the updates. and I have the PS2 system data. so thats not the problem. every time I try to install it, it sais “Error code: POL-1040. no reponse from the DHCP server.” I was wondering if it has anything to do with me having Fiber-Optic, wireless internet. my dad, who I live with, plays FFXI on the computer, but he has a cable running to the modem. so his is not really wireless. Even tho I can get online with other games, such as Burnout, and others, I cant seem to get FFXI to work. I have been asking around for about 3 months now, can someone please help me out?
