Why is it that when you get a fever your forehead gets hot?

Not just your forehead. Your entire body temperature goes up when you have a fever, but people traditionally use a hand against the forehead to tell if someone is running hot.
this is the best answer… and no you dont lose the most heat from your head, its an urban legend :s
