How often do I feed my 8 week old chihuahua?

You would tend to feed puppies around 3 times a day (can be up to about 5 smaller meals as they are still growing). The best thing for you to do is ask whoever you got them from how often they fed the puppies or what they would recommend, or else seek advice from a vet. You may need to feed them a certain amount of food per day, which will be worked out based on their weight. Take them to the vet to get them weighed and just ask. As long as he or she does not seem to be whining with hunger and they have fresh food put out for them around 3 times a day then it should be fine as every puppy can be slightly different.

I recommend as a puppy, let her eat roughly 3 small meals throughout the day, but as she gets older make it 2 a day. You really have to be careful because as they age they are likely to get weight problems.

Most puppies eat 3-5 times a day depending on the breed. Chihuahuas are known for being hypoglycemic so should be fed a little more often than many other breeds. I would suggest feeding them 4-5 times a day.

When I got my Chihuahua we fed him 4 times a day and now he eats 3 small meals daily.
