Fake Friendship

I had a friend who I hung around for almost the entire school year. I thought we were close friends because we would talk a lot after school and just have a great time. Although sometimes it was weird because he would nick name me ‘cutie pie’ or put his arm around me while walking down the hallway. I know he didn’t like me because he did that to other girls so it wasn’t a big deal. We hugged everytime we saw each and I thought that ment we were friends. Well on the last week of school he said he wanted to hang out over the summer. It was fine and a couple of weeks later I decided to try and ask if he still wanted to but he would always say ‘maybe.’ Well thats fine we could still talk by phone right? well I tried to do that but he changed his character each time I tried talking with him. He would go from asking if we could cuddle and say he had feelings for me (like he actually liked me).Then the next time around when I try to talk with him he would seem not wanting to talk much. He finally decided to dismiss me as a friend because he clams that I freak out too much. I waited a few weeks to finally confront him and he just said we were cool. Finally I guess we aren’t friends anymore because he told me goodbye Fallen and hasn’t spoken in over a month. What happend? Why would a guy say were friends and then decide to drop me? Please help
