Why are my eyes shaking like this?

I’ll be sitting and drawing, reading, listening to a lesson in school, etc, and my eyes will jerk back and fourth quickly (like REM) and I can’t control it. It lasts about two seconds and doesn’t happen EVERY day, but I would like to know what this could be. I was born legally blind, but now am only 40% blind in only my right eye; and I have amblyopia (and have since I was two). Could this just be happening due to the other two conditions? Just curious as to what this is.

Answer #6

hmmmmm usually uncontrolled eye movement is observed in patients who’s optical nerves have somehow been compromised or are under pressure…. well amblyopia is a signal the optical nerve is compromised, it could be that the pressure in your nerve canal may have risen and thus that “flicking” motion… You need an electromagnetic resonance scan done to see if there is any obstruction in the right eye’s nerve…. btw Congenital Glaucoma could explain the blindness…. you need to get medical help as soon as possible, the condition may worsen if left alone :(

Answer #7

uhm i think he meant his eyes moved not his eye lids… REM movement is usually left to right or vice versa AFAIK

Answer #8

Answer #9
