Who can explain the movie "Fight Club" for me?

haha yh, it was some crazy movie.

First rule about fight club - you don’t talk about fight club. Yeah, basically, the guy was crazy and the whole thing was him battling his inner demons, so to speak.

Ok in the end… It is revealed that Tyler Durden(Brad Pitt) is an alternate persona of The lead character(Edward Norton forgot characters name). Norton’s character has created this persona because he can’t stand the person he had become, weak in a sense. While they are in the building watching the explosion he just understanding that Tyler Durden is actually himself. He was oblivious to this before that point in the film. He shoots himself to kill Durden and stop him, because he is a figment of his imagination shooting where he was stand would essentially hit nothing.

The movie tries to explain that during the flash back scenes. The first fight in the parking lot was just Norton kicking his own *. The reason he couldn’t tell the girl about Durden, she would think he was crazy(which she does anyway). He is shown putting the lye on his own hand to leave the lips scar. (That is about all the flash back scenes I can remember been several years) But anyway by shooting himself through the face he is able to “rationalize” if you will that Tyler Durden got it through the back of his skull thus killing off that persona/schizophrenic episode.

2Nd rule of fight club, you dont talk about fight club>< but im using good at these sorts of movies but how could he have s.ex with that creepy chick and not feel it, and like who was driving the car, i meanWTF should be the genre of that movie, its his favourite movie so i thought id try it but damn what was up with it? ok and how did he shoot himself without shooting himself @_@ WHATTTT

When Edward Norton’s character spoke with Durden it was kind of like in the parking lot when he was kicking the crap out of himself as opposed to Durden doing so. When other people were talking to Durden they were in actuality conversing with Norton. Norton and Durden are actually the same person, in Norton losing his job and being pushed around by everyone his mind didn’t know how to cope so it created an alternate persona that was everything he was, therein creating conflicting personalities.

One of the few movies I have watched that made LESS sense the second time around :P. Great explanation tho.
