Everything is impossible

So basically I told my mom I hurt my hand bad, and she was really upset with me, but she didnt do anything about it, I cant go to the docs by myslef what do I do?

Answer #1

Aww. Hope that your hand will be fine soon. It must be very painful uh. But anyway, tell your mum that you need to see a doctor. Tell her that it hurts badly. If not, ask any adult who you are close to. Or maybe, your teacher.

Goodluck! ^^

Simply a Rose to brighten your day, And maybe lessen the cares in your way; And also, too, to help you to know, That in knowing you, many others grow!

jaes,

If I remember, you live in Alaska. But you’ve never said where so I have to use Anchorage as my guide.

If your finger is broken and your mother refuses to get you medical attention, that is child abuse. If you look on the net, there seems to be lots of agencies that might be able to assist you. Below is a link to one site that I found:

http://www.ridalaskaofchildabuse.org/Anchservices.html

CALL 911 IF LIFE THREATENING If your city is not listed, please contact the appropriate authority in your area.

Alaska State Troopers…269-5511

Anchorage Police Dept… 786-8900

Office of Children’s Services…269-4000 or toll free 1-800-478-4444

Alaska Cares…561-8301 or 1-877-561-8301

STAR (Standing Together Against Rape)…276-7273

It’s up to you to do something. Agencies and people can’t help you if you don’t take the initiative.

explain to her what happened, and tell her how much it means to you that you go get your hand checked out.

or have another adult, (grandparent, aunt, uncle.. etc.) go with you instead.

good luck, (:

Answer #4

If those websites doesn’t work, try a friend’s parents. I’d understand if one of my sons’ friends came to me in your position - they will treat you as their own daughter as much as they can for now.

Ethmer’s right - you do have to take the initiative just to ask for help, and after that you can leave it to someone else.

If you really think it is broken, tell your mom or dad that you must see a doctor. If they still won’t take you then contact Social Services.

lets see, mom still crying, dad in seattle, my only responsible grandparent lives in oregon, im not in school, so I cant go to the nurse, and any relatives I do have do give a crap about me because they are always drunk, lovely eh?

Answer #7

Could you try to school nurse, or a teacher? In your last post you said your finger was at a funny angle, so it sounds like they would take you seriously. If your mum is just too upset at the moment to focus, at least she’ll be glad in a few days to realise that you took steps to look after yourself. There are plenty of adults at school who would know how to help you. Choose your favourite one and ask as soon as you can.
