How did the era of kings and queens come to an end and become political?
Through revolutions. Like the American Revolution. Americans were tired of British rule, and fought to end the British rule over America. It is the same with the French Revolution where the French royalty were spending too much money not helping its citizens and peasants, and then the people rebelled killing the royal family. The russians had their Russian revolution. Canada signed an agreement with Britian saying that they can still be their Monarch but do not have power any longer.
