I am going to get some new pickups for my B.C Rich warlock, I was wondering what would be better for the kind of music I play. I mostley play metal and heavy metal, bands like Five Finger Death Punch and metallica I would also like to know which ones are most responsive to pinch harmonics. either seymour duncan blackouts or EMGs and any information on bridge and neck positions would be great, any advice would be much appreciated.
I don't know which is better, although seymour duncan claims a 12 dB better noise reduction. But if you want sharp pinch harmonics, my personal experience is you need to use a single coil. I've been thinking about switching to active pickups too, and my plan was to go watch players using different types on youtube to figure out what I want.
