how do i not embarrass myself when i wear heals?

so this saturday is my schools homecoming, and im super stoked. the only part that i’m not excited for is wearing heels :/ my heels are four inch platforms and soo cute, but i look retarded when i walk in them. i never wear heels because i’m already 5’10, so wearing them turns me into a giant (6’2), which makes it even harder to walk in them. anyone have any tips of how i could learn to walk in them better? or atleast a way to sufficiently pretend like i know what i’m doing?

Answer #1

walk around in them for 5-10 minutes at home every night before the dance and just go about your everyday stuff! and most of the time people take the heels off almost as soon as they get to the dance, at least at my school! have a fun dance :)

Answer #2

i dont wear heels coz im 5”11 so they’d make me huge too but i’d just do alot of practice in the house if i were u, that’s all u can do!

Answer #3

also, when wearing heels make sure you take deliberate steps and walk a little slower! it makes you less likely to trip and some guys think it looks sexy haha :)

Answer #4

best thing to do is practice! while you’re at home, put your heels on so that you’ll get used to them. try to keep your legs straight and close together, and start with small steps.

Answer #5

Like they say, Practice. and Next time, if you[‘re 5’10”, forget heels, find something comfortable and just be you so you aren’t focusing on your feet when you should be focusing on hot guys, or food or drinks or what if a comet hits the earth. 5’ 10” is such a great height, enjoy!

Answer #6

Why’d you buy 4 inch heels if you don’t know how to walk in them? XD

Answer #7

Thicker heels…

Answer #8

flats:)

Answer #9

Practice in them at your house!!
