Who was suppose to play edward cullen. Like who were the options. Thanks
Michael Welch (who plays Mike Newton) tried out for the role on the advice of his manager, lol.
I don't know what other actors tried out for the role...you can check Stephenie's page to see her options (some sent by fans).
Henry Cavill (Stephenie Meyer's original choice)was never contacted or his manager (he stated this in an interview for MTV)
(Gaspard Ulliel was NEVER considered. He can't fake a Standard American accent.)
All I know is that guy who played Hannibal in the new Hannibal Rising movie was up for the part but Robert Pattinson got it. I think his name is like Gaspar or somethine. and I think some guy named Henry Cavill was considered for the part too

im not sure what his name is but in my opinion he is not exactly "edward" material. he is definately not good looking enough!
