eBay refunds

I recently purchased a phone on eBay for $230.00. The auction claimed that it was used and that postage insurance was not offered. The mobile phone worked perfectly except for one major aspect, the speaker on the phone does not work. When somebody calls me they can not hear me, I can hear them, but it is silent on the other end. I confronted the seller and they said it was in fine working condition before it was sent and that it must have broken in the post. They have not offered a refund as they claim it was in working condition when it was sent. Is that right? am I not entitled to a refund?

You can’t, its a legitment sale..sucks huh! 230’a lot of money

Answer #2

ebay is hard to fight for a refund. the person will say you knew that there was no shipping insurance and that it broke while being shipped or you broke it. you can still try to fight it though. many people get ripped off on ebay. I suggest you use amazon for now on they are much better and when you are unhappy they refund your money.

You can write to customer service and tell them you were falsely advertised to and got a lemon for a phone. Also on your reviews of the seller. Check to see how many bad or good comments have been left. You need to give them a bad review so others don’t get scammed. Be careful of those who have only 10 or less reviews. New people you never know if you can trust.

unfortunatly you probably wont get your money back if they said it was working fine, it going to be hard to get a refund you can complain about false adveryising though judging from the price, im guessing its a relatively new phone and there are a lot of scammers on ebay it seems like a good idea that theyd know it wanst working properly but they thought they could get some money for it and with no registerd post, say it must have broke during transit but the speaker isnt really liksly to be able to beak from it being posted to you so I would say there scamming you try to cvomplain you probab;ly wont get your money back but at least you can give them a negative rating and say the phones speaker wasnt working the same thing is actually wrong with my old phone, I had it for about 6 years before I got another one because eventually the speaker wouldnt work, I could hear people but they couldnt hear me its probably because I droped my phone more than 100 times and it eventually stoped working properly I tried getting it repaired but they said I should just throw it out if you like you can try getting it repaired, and ask if they can fix the speaker or if they know whats wrong and how it might have happened
