Is it easy to pierce your bellybutton?

Answer #1

yes, i did it! u just need ice, rubbing alcohol, glooves and a very sharp long needle

Answer #2

Seemingly, it’s “easy” enough that more than a few people have videos of themselves doing it at home, but of course, the video specifically says DON’T do this at home.

Answer #3

If your asking if its easy to shove a needle through your skin and fat, of course it is. Is it easy or smart for someone who is not a professional to PROPERLY pierce a part of their bodies, no its not. In our shop we saw soo many young people coming in with infected piercings, crooked piercings, horrible scars(if you dont know what your doing you will leave a permanant scar), piercings that were rejecting the jewelry because they used the wrong type…and so many more problems. Its only around a thirty dollar piercing and is WAY worth paying for.

Answer #4

I would not recommend doing a ‘Do it yourself’ only because you can easily get an infection. I mean if you dont have the money or the time to schedule an appoint I guess I mean if you really wanna 50/50 the chance of getting an infection instead of wait and be happy with the results than go ahead hehe

Answer #5

I did it when I was younger with a safety pin and it hurt like a mofo. I’m pretty good with pain, but it’s harder when you’re the one doing it. You really should just get it done professionally, but if not, make sure you do it right.. It’s easy to pierce it crooked, too low, too high, etc.

Answer #6

UGH! DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL! It kills all the bacteria INCLUDING the healthy bacteria. Only 1% of all bacteria is bad bacteria. Gosh.

Things You’ll Need: 14g needle, navel jewelry, antibacterial liquid soap, gloves, a paper towel, and a felt tipped marker.

Step1) Put on your gloves. Step2) clean the navel jewelry and leave it on the paper towel to keep it steril. Step3) Clean your navel with the antibacterial soap Step4) Mark the inner and outter part of your navel and make sure that those dots are lined up. Step5) Line your needle up with mark on the inner part of your navel, take a deep breath in, and as you breathe out, push the needle through. Step6) Insert the jewelry as you’re sliding the needle out.

It’s not at sall safe to pierce yourself at home, no matter what precaustions you take or how clean you think you’re being about it. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. I suggest you ask your parents for premission, pony up some cash, and visit a local tattoo/piercing shop.

If your parents say “no” you need to accept that.

If you need aftercare tips or instructions, talk to me. :)

Answer #7

Notice how she doesnt show “the final piece” with an actual navel ring in because a saftey pin is too small. That hole isn’t big enough to put actual jewelry into. People are not very smart.

Answer #8

Haha , i did it with a wide gadged needle and no ice or anything. it kinda hurt but not muchh , depends on your pain tolerence .

Answer #9

Of course yes, One of my friends did it last week! You can do it by yourself, and also go to the professional piercing place! http://funadvice.com/r/3k2qsk9muo

Answer #10

you shouldn’t be an idiot and pierce it yourself there are many things that could go wrong also if you cant be bothered to get a hole in your flesh professionally pierced you shouldn’t be getting one AT ALL a piercing is a wound and there’s a lot more to piercing than just stabbing yourself with a needle

Answer #11

wow..i wouldn’t be doing that yourself..

Answer #12

sorry my friend, crzcalie14, got on my account i wouldnt know the first thing about that but she did it herself, not me.
