Is it easier for inlaws to accept a daughter-n-law than a son-n-law ?
Hell no. Not in my personal experience at least. It is always difficult for mothers to let go of their sons, whereas it seems to be easier with the daugthers. But that is just my generalization.
Definitely not. We had 0 issues accepting the guys my sister dated. We also had no issues accepting her husband when they decided they wanted to get married. His mother, however, was a tough nut to crack. As Irene said, most mothers do NOT want to let their sons go as easily. My brother in law’s mother was very protective, very particular on the kind of girl she wanted her son to be with, etc. It was tough for them. My sister only just started getting along with his mother like.. 2 or 3 months ago. They’ve been married for a year, too. xD
I agree that the womans parents are more inviting, open, kind, and accepting. As for the males they are more close minded, judgemental, and cold. At least in my experiences in a dating and as a.married woman. But all people are differant.
It varies from person to person in my expierience
Depending really in my culture yes in my husbands nope. I’ve been married going on three years we live with my hubs grandparents and they hate me I don’t no why. We have a two month old daughter they adore her but sue to how they treat me they are not allowed to hold her I hide in the basement all day it is so bad I’m a stay at home mom too. They get mad at.me for everything they can such as when I wash.clothing noatter the time I do it how picky I am about what I cook although they won’t try anything I make the way I celibate holidays how we worship god every thing they can it seems were as my family believes that a marriage is between a husband and wife in that mArriage alone.there R things they don’t like or agree ok but they love my husband as their own son and.treat him so.
