Answer #2

Oh, I did! Thank you! XD

Answer #3

it* not I

Answer #4

Not really. Dying your hair can actually dry it out because of the chemicals

Answer #5

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you!

Answer #6

Your welcome. It should be fine though as long as you aren’t dying it constantly

Answer #7

Okay, I’m only going to die the underneath of my hair (if that makes sense) lol.

Answer #8

Answer #9

Answer #10

good luck!!

Answer #11

Thank you! :D

Answer #12

Well, I have always heard that the harsh chemicals in hair dye, dries your hair out and damages it. I have no idea how it would make it softer.

Answer #13

It depends …at first mine was soft but then i didnt moisturize it everyday so it got kinda brittle

Answer #14

yes after you die your hair it does make it softer…

Answer #15

I don’t think that dying it makes it any softer. The shampoo and conditioner you get in the kit usually makes it feel nice for the first few days, but most things you do with your hair that involve chemicals or heat usually makes your hair worse (or die off) in time. Especially if you do it often.

If your hair is kind of cruddy you could use some argon oil on it, which is natural and very popularly used by people who do a lot of things with their hair (hair stylists recommend it a lot to those who use things such as hair straighteners, but it’s good in general). I’ve used it a lot, and it usually makes my hair nice and smooth. ^^

Answer #16

You have quite a few mixed answers on this thread, so heres the real deal… Colouring (dying) your hair permanently will NOT make it softer. Permanent colour penetrates the cuticle and will ruffle it up a bit because it has ammonia in the dye. Getting a midway (semi permanent) colour might make your hair softer and shinier because it coats and closes the cuticle as opposed to squeezing inside it. I recommend midway colour because it’s softer on the hair and will give you time to decide if you like the colour or not before you dye it again.

Answer #17

Okay, thank you! I do straighten my hair pretty much every day so that should help :)

Answer #18

Okay, great advice, thank you much!

Answer #20

Alright, sounds good! Thank you!

Answer #21

okayy i dye my hair and its definately is not softer at all. especially since i straighten it too. i dont think it is as soft as it use to be, because of the chemicals.

Answer #22

It may make your hair softer for some time, that will be temporary but the dye have many chemicals and it dries your hair after some time.Recently, somebody colored it,and her hair looks very dry.So Coloring is okay, but don’t think it will make your hair very soft, though you can use a good quality color, ammonia free,to get better results.

Answer #23

Hi, I find that everyone in my (girls only) class at school comments that my hair is so soft. I use Tresemmè shampoo and conditioner. Good luck and brush your hair twice a day! (Also, you might want to keep your hair tied up as it stops it from getting tangled.)

Answer #24

well when I dyed my hair it look softer and more shiney, and also felt really soft (: x

Answer #25

well when I dyed my hair it look softer and more shiney, and also felt really soft (: x

Answer #26

wen u first dye it its shiny, but as u miantain it over years it causes damage but just like a hairstraightner or hairdryer so u can go ahead and dye it, just not its totally opposite colour

Answer #27

I don’t think it’s the dye that makes your hair softer, I think it’s the conditioners that come with the dye.

Answer #28

it depend what your using and what color if your dying it blonde or light it will feel a lot less soft and dry. But I feel when I dye it brown or darker its much much softer.
