Dyed black hair, bleach it?

So I had died my hair black about a week ago. I hate it. Will I be able to bleach it and then put a dye over it right away? Or will my hair fall out? I want it a medium brown.

Did the same thing a few years back. You can have your hair stripped, but it’s very expensive and it dosen’t get rid of the black. It’s going to have to grow out.

if you bleach black hair guarenteed to get orange…nowhere near blonde…good luck I dyed my hair dark brown and then bleached it and I looked like carrot top and that was with dark brown hair NOT black

Your hair won’t fall out that easily, but it will cause some damage.

Chances are, when you bleach it, it won’t turn light enough to dye over with the first bleaching - it takes more than once to get rid of black hair.

more than the color that will emerge from the bleach, it will breakout and tear. Try to slowly lighten the color of the hair without using bleach or mild bleach (like dying it light brown or something in the mean time). There are hair tints that can help lighten up the color of your hair but its a slow process for preventing hair damage.

I suggest really to dye it a color in between, making sure you condition it w/ hair breakage treatment and maybe in a couple of weeks (like 2-3) think about dying it too.

You can buy a hair stripper for about 8.99 then you want to use a medium brown, not ash or golden. Put a packet of brass free or no red in the dye, you can get them at sallys, and dye you hair as directed. Plus you can dye you hair right after you strip out the color. I have done this several times and I alwqaus get good results. Keep in mind what works for me may not work for you. Goodluck
