Drinks with the ' Engaged Ex'

Hey Hey,

Thanks for clicking on my question! :)

My ex and I broke up last year in January. We went out for about 4 years. We still saw each other throughout the year; I made sure she was ok etc even though we were not going out. I just helped her out whenever needed etc. I mean deep down I really know she’s a good gal.

Anyways, time moves quickly and she moved on. Well she has been engaged twice within one year! I mean, I am happy as long as she is happy whatever the happiness she has. As long as she is safe and happy. Visted her a couple of times, saw the engagement ring on her finger, didn’t make me feel the best but I tried to ignore it as much as I could

Anyways…getting to the point, she would like to catch up with me for drinks. I am happy to, but I told her that I didn’t want to drink as temptation might lead to something else She is quite certain it will not. But I said, maybe not drinks - perhaps a movie or a coffee.

She sort of got annoyed at that and asked why I didn’t want to go out for drinks with her. The thing is I do not want to reminess about old times, while drinking with her, cause it plays with me and my emotions. I still think about her everyday and what we could of had. She said, no matter what happens with us she would always value our friendship for life.

I really appreciate that, but I do find it hard cause I still have ‘strong’ feelings for her. Ahh!

What do I do? Do I go? Don’t go? Maybe just tell her striaght up?

She even offered to hook me up with one of her mates. Her mate is a nice girl but I feel uncomfortable with that. I can find my own chickydees

Any info, advice, suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Regards, Mike.

well I think drinks are better than movie because you can leave when you start feeling uncomfertable if you really love her and if you think for her the way you say you do then you are the best guy for her but I think you should go out with her I wish I had some one like u :( you seem to be a nice guy I think you should go :) this might and I think it did hurt her
