What does it mean if you dream about losing a tooth?

It doesn’t mean anything, i’ve had dreams all my teeth fell out and it hasn’t happened. You were probably thinking about teeth at some point in the day.

Teeth are all about chewing. Chewing is how we destroy something in order to nourish ourselves from it. The jaw muscles we chew with are among the strongest in our body, and our teeth are our strongest and most durable bones. Teeth are power. That’s what we mean when we say that a policy or decision, for example, has (or has no) teeth to it; that is, nothing to make it effective in the world.

The sort of dream you describe is extremely common. It means either that you’re feeling powerless in some way, or that you’re having an internal conflict about some aggressive feelings that you are suppressing because they are (or feel) threatening to you, but that suppression in turn diminishes your sense of your own power.

Answer #6

P.S. “losing a tooth” indicates a relatively mild sense of powerlessness; “all my teeth fell out” means it’s more severe.
