I like this girl a lot

there is this girl and I like her a lot… and we have dated before like 4 years ago and have been friend since… and I started going too her school again and all I can think about is her… and I am pretty sure if I gave it time we would get together… but the catch is… she smokes and I can live with cigarettes… but she does pot every now and then and its annoying as hell… and she drinks because I guess thats the cool thing too do lol… I do neither… and I dont want to try and change her because then I think she will hate me… should I stay friends… or go farther and wait it out and wait for her too grow out of all the bulshit

Why would you go out with someone who smokes pot and cigarettes? Neither of those are cool things to do. I know. I smoked pot for 16 years and all it got me was nothing! Pot makes people lazy and forgetful. As my friend’s Mom said a long time ago, “ Smoking pot makes you stupid. If you want to be stupid go ahead!.”

Unfortunately, we all went ahead. My friend flunked out of the state university. I graduated and never got a good job while I was using drugs. Believe me. It is not cool.

Don’t try to change her, just wait for someone that doesn’t need to be changed. If you get into a relationship knowing you have a project to change her you are setting yourself up for dissappointment and resentment.

You are young, be patient.
