how do you teach your dog roll over? even if its not your dog but your uncles dog and also how do you teach it to your own dog?

Answer #1

when your dog is on the ground say roll over and do it manually and when he goes to the other side and stands up give him a treat and keep doin that but when he does it on his own still give him a treat because if you dont then he thinks hes doin it for nothin and hell stop

Answer #2

I taught my dog in like 30 mins…

I basicly got a choccy treat and told him to lay down… then as he laid down I started saying “roll over” while rolling him over with my hands.. then I gave him a treat once he done it.and repeated this a few times…then gave him a little break…then repeated again.. he eventually understood what roll over meant.

it doesnt really matter how long it takes them to learn… its good bonding and its keeping your dogs mind occupied.

Answer #3

Make it lay down… and say “roll over” and then kinda roll it over.. then say good dog. and give it a treat.. and keep doing that.. a few times a day… and soon itll get what you mean.. good luck

Answer #4

depends, is the dog(s) able to do simple commands yet? cause if it can’t then it may be very difficult,

I would assume you just tell the dog to laydown then manually roll it over, then build off from that.

my advice was a little bad, but I thought I’d be better at answerign this :P sorry but goodluck hun!

Answer #6

Tell the dog or make him lie down on his belly then either stand besides him or kneel down and use a chunk of meat now.Bring it near his nose and move it backwards and sideways until he rolls.Be playful with him at that time and tell him to roll until he learns this action.
