dog help!

Umm, My aunt has a beagle dog 4 years old I think.. And she said he urinated all over the place then layed on the floor and was shaking and choking.. I automatically presumed it was a seizure.. BUT he was responsive and stuff and he still is now he is just laying down because he is tired.. And my aunt looked down his throat and there was nothing in there. I think its because he hasnt had his shots yet.. Or because she constantly drinks at a bar and leaves him there with human cooked meat sitting in his dish all day >.> she really makes me mad.. But any idea what it could be? And dont go on and on about a vet because she is doing so tomorrow. ok thanks

UPDATE: It was nothing.. The dog was tooken to the vet and the vet couldnt find anything wrong.. She thinks he may have choked on something and paniced. He’s fine =]

TAKE HIM TO THE DOG HOPITAL

Answer #4

He needs to go to the Vet, so that’s good that he’s going…what you describe sounds like a seizure…but it could be a one of a host of other things…Keep him quiet, and offer water…he’ll probably stay tired for a while tonite…keep an eye on him, he may have another, if it is seizures… he needs to be kept safe from objects around him (chairs, coffee tables…furniture)…

Beagles are prone to epilepsy, and it is easily controlled with phenobarbitol and another drug (it’s on the tip of my tongue, but can’t remember the name)…it’s also very inexpensive to buy medication.

Good luck tomorrow to your aunt’s dog.
