Do I have a STD?

I have 2 questions.

  1. I’ve been having sex with my boyfriend for 7 months now. And we both lost our virginity to each other. But he has had some oral sex with other partners before me. The last few weeks I’ve been kinda itchy in my vagina, I don’t think its a yeast infection cuz nothing is really coming out. And I have like tiny ulcers in my tongue, they’re not cold sores and they aren’t big, they just look like the kind of ulcer when you eat too much salty foods. I’m going to the gynecologist on April 3, but is this a possibility that I might have some type of STD?

  2. I’m going to the gyno for birth control, but I’m also going to get checked out. can the gynecologist tell if you have an STD just by looking or do you have to draw blood?

Answer #1

It doesnt sound like an infection, did your mum recently change the washing powder? maybe thats wats causing the itchyness. Def discuss these changes with the gyno tho, tell him about the itcyness and the ulsers in your mouth and he can take samples from your vagina and mouth just to check and double check wat they are.

You could have early stages of a yeast infection, or it could be something else. The ulcers in your mouth, if they are canker sores, are likely caused by a virus. Cold sores typically appear on the outside of your mouth, around the edges of your lips. The only way to know for sure about any of it is by seeing your doctor, which is sounds like you are doing. If it requires drawing blood or other tests - oh well. That’s the price you pay for having unprotected sex or sex in general.
