Disappointment, is it ok?

Ok. my parents recently promised me that I would be able to attend the th grade dance, and the th grade graduatin, but we dont have any money now and I really wanted to go, my mom was going to come up with money to get me a dress, but then I said something and my dad talked to my mom, and next thing I know, they wont let me, well m dad wont. I think its dumb.They have ney to buy cigs, and other various things, but not a dress. is it ok that they broke this promise? my fiancee says he wants to pay for the dress, but my dad will not let him, what do I do? I told my fiancee I would rahrt stay home and talk t him, but we both know its a lie, and he wants me to go, so, what should I do??? Please help!

well it depends on what you said to them but there are other ways to get a bit of money you could get a quick part time job, have a garage sale, sell a few things on ebeay or to some freinds to raise a bit more or you could scour your local op-shops and second hand stores for a cheap new or vintage dress
