Dirt Bike tires wear out their edges from square corners to circular corners in a very short time. What is the other solution except buying?

Answer #1

There is nothing that can stop the rounding of the tread on a dirt bike tire due to regular ridding but here are some tips that could slow the process down;

  1. If you ride on the road with dirt tires they wear out much quicker, so try to keep it in the dirt.
  2. Different tires have different tread compounds, I have found that most Chinese tire brands have a softer compound and wear out quicker, I have also not had much luck with most Dunlop dirt tires but that’s just from personal experience.
  3. If your bike is powerful enough to spin the back tire or wheelie then you will find by doing either of those will quickly reduce your tire life. ( not saying don’t do them ) ;)
  4. Finally when you do purchase new tires look for a tire with a duel tread compound that could make things wear a bit more even and choose a tire for the type of riding you are doing.
