What is the difference between watt meter and watt-hour meter?

Answer #1

I don’t know much, but I think a watt meter shows the electrical current passing through an area at a given time. While the watt-hour meter would usually average out the energy used since a given time and show the progression of the average energy you are using.

Answer #2

watt meter An instrument that measures electric power in watts ordinarily.

watt-hour meter An electricity meter which measures and registers the active power in an electric circuit with respect to time.
