Obviously other than that you're born with one and contract the other.
Syphillis will lead to multiple complications during pregnancy. An infected woman can even lose her baby because of the disease.
Then the infection will influence the growth of the child. It can lead to enlarged spleen and liver, nerve and lung inflammation, deformed bones, a saddle nose, skin changes and bleeding sneezes, fevers, rashes, inhibited growth, deformed teeth.
Obviously, as syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease, most people who contract it are full grown and will thus not grow any deformities. Most of them will have skin eczema rather than internal inflammations as first symptoms.
Sheep- I didnt ask what syphilis does, I asked what the DIFFERENCE between being BORN with it and CONTRACTING it later in life.
Nevermind, I get it now.
