What is the difference between sleep and hibernate in my computer?

Which should I use during school?

Answer #1

Sleep I believe

Answer #2

Sleep is like pushing pause. Your computer will immediately stops what its doing and is alert and ready to pick up right where you left off.

Hybernation is primarily for laptops being that it completely shuts itself down while developing a saving point. This allows you to pick up your laptop, go to a new location, and turn it back on picking up where you left off with little or no power loss.

Hope this helps! :)

sleep stores all your open programmes into memory and buts the system in low power state and can be rebooted by just a move of the mouse.

hibernation stores open programmes on the hdd and shuts the system down.
