What is the difference between a cupcake and a muffin?

Cupcakes are generally smaller than muffins and are made of either, usually, a vanilla or chocolate batter. Muffins distinguish themselves from cupcakes by having the ability to have other ingredients mixed in such as nuts or chocolate chips… There are many more flavours of muffin then there are cupcake…

Muffins are yummy, and cupcakes are yummier. If you eat something, and you think it tastes just plain ‘’yummy’’, it’s probably a muffin. ;)

They are made from different batters. Cupcakes are more like small cakes in terms of their flour, sugar and fat contents. Also, as stated before, they are smaller and usually have more elaborate decorations
