most retirement homes come in apartment styles where elders can stay there when they or their loved ones decided to keep them there. nursing homes provide much more of skilled medical services for residents with physical or mental disabilities. hospice, on the other hand, is end-of-life care for terminally ill patients. you may check it here http://funadvice.com/r/15plik3lhs1
This is correct. Hospice care, like other kinds of nursing, can be offered either at home or in an institutional setting. What sets it apart is the expectation of the patient's imminent death. The field was more or less invented by Elisabeth Kubler Ross, author of "On Death and Dying."
A hospice is for terminally ill patients. People who are going to die in a few weeks/months. They are basically there to die. They generally have an illness. A nursing/retirement home is for the elderly.
