There is nothing wrong with just asking her. Tell her the mole has been bothering you and if you could at least talk to your doctor about what the proccess would be of getting it removed. Chances are if it is one mole in a solitary location they will freeze it off. Almost like a wart. They numb the area so you really dont feel much of anything. There is some discomfort afterwards but its nothing you cant get over quickly. If it is more then one mole or in a location that may not be easily delt with they may decide to go a different way.

As for the cost, it depends on what your insurance covers. I cant really answer that because there is no set price.

Talk to your Mom, talk to your insurance company, and talk to your doctor. I have had one removed. It was a simple procedure that I didnt even need to go to the deretologist for. (That also depends on your doctor and who they have in the practice) I was in and out about as fast as a normal checkup would take. My insurance coverd it though, so all I had to pay was the ten dollar co pay (also may vary from your experience)

Hopefully this gives you some ideas and a starting point

If you’re from the UK you can possibly get it done for free on the NHS. In theory they should only do it if there’s a problem - such as that it gets cut while shaving, they might be reluctant to do it to do it for free if there’s not a reason for it, however it depends on your GP too I reckon. Mine was happy to remove the ones I wanted for cosmetic reasons. As a general rule the raised ones are the ones they don’t have an issue with removing, they come off easily via shaving them off and leave a small scar in place of the mole. If you have to have it cut out, or require stitches, it will leave a pretty nasty scar. Bear that in mind if you’re having it done for cosmetic reasons. So yeah, try your GP, he will examine the mole and tell you whether it’s suitable to be removed and the best procedure for it.
