My boyfriend doesnt let me drink because he says I get out of control but he can drink, he made me quit smoking because he thinks its gross and me and my ex were like best friends when I use to get into trouble and he wont let me talk to her either. I dont know if he just cares about me and worries or if hes controlling please help me.
he must care about you a lot but he can't control who your friends with and he should be able to accept you even if you do happen to drink one time. don't let him set rules for you to follow. instead he should just tell you it bothers him, in the end its your decision to do what you want so don't let him make your decisions even though he does care.
If you cant drink, then he shouldnt be able to either. It should go both ways. My ex was exactly like that. Its not caring behavior, its controlling! Dont let your boyfriend dictate who you are, and what you can/cannot do!
