View (at the top) > Toolbars (un-check the toolbar you don’t want).

I seen that you’ve mentioned already doing it, but I just wanted to point out that the methods described here are NOT to ->delete<- toolbars, but rather to disable them.
If you want to delete a toolbar from your system entirely, you’ll need to uninstall it. (If you’ve done this, well done. xD)

Go to Control Panel…then double click Add/Remove Programs….find the toolbar, and uninstall it.
