What is a decent open source FTP for Ubuntu?

I have used vsftpd and it has worked ok, but am looking for something a little easier for my techs to use for creating and removing accounts.

Both vsftp and proftp have webmin modules. You might look into this if your techs are more GUI than CLI oriented.

Personally I’d just write some scripts to ease account creation and removal; especially if you have the need to archive closed accounts.

We hardly use any ftp in my shop; we moved to sftp and https for almost all file transfers.

I am looking at proftp, I am using webmin on most of my linux server and it is a nice little gui interface, but you still have to dig into the server for quit a few things.
