How should you deal with knots in your hair?

My hair is naturally curly/wavy.

Answer #1

Lotslotslots of conditioner, wide toothed comb. WALA. :D.

Answer #2

Detangler in the hair section of the grocery store.

Answer #3

In addition to what was said, I also find it helpful to start combing from the bottom of the hair and slowly working my way up the knots. I have very long hair, and this is the only technique that works for me.

Answer #4

My daughter gets those. We call them a rat’s nest.

Answer #5

When I was little I would never brush my hair. I would get knots the size of a head. It was crazy, my Dad actually broke, snapped, and accidentally through brushes and combs trying to get them out. Yeah, it was painful..What work is if you start from bottom to top on a knot and maybe you can try some detangler. Ive never tried it but maybe it will work for you.. Also, you can always just brush your hair regularly to prevent them..And what she said, you can put smoothing cremes like conditioners to help them get out.

Answer #6

I comb from the bottom of my hair and work upwards. Helps for knots. I also make sure to use condition a few times a week to keep my hair soft.

Answer #7

well what i do is brush it softly with my brush NEVER put lots of conditioner because it will make your hair appear greasy and uncared for which is not true so brush it from the bottom up & it won’t hurt :)

Answer #8

apply hair conditioner and before you rinse it off brush your hair under water, thats what i do, AMAZING
