Dark Brown Poop

Alright so my poop is a very very dark brown almost black. And I have abdominal pains similar to those that I get when I have period cramps. my period ends today but I have never had poop this dark and I’m very sore and fatigued. I just want to know if this is something to be worried about or not? I’ve only had this coloured stool for one day now. I have been eating oreos in the past week but not today, but I would just like some opinions on what it sounds like it could be. Thanks (I’m a very healthy 18 year old girl by the way so this is abnormal to me)

Oeros that was my first thought and having recently ate half a bag of the things and having the same problem the next day. I would say Oreo’s will cause dark brown poop. Also since you have been on your period you are craving the chocolate the sugar BINGO! Stop eating the Oreo’s and your poop will go back to normal and you will drop a couple of pounds.

Coughing blood is a problem for your doctor!

ahahah sorry im not a doctor but when I read this title I laughed so hard I almost pissed myself

Answer #3

opps I forgot to add something!! I’ve been coughing a lot as well.. maybe my throat is a bit bloody from coughing and I’ve digested some blood? is that a possibility?

Answer #4

It could be the oreos (it can take about 10 hours for the food to digest and come out). OR it could mean you have stomach bleeding. When you can, check with your doctor. In the meantime you can read this and go over your symptoms.

Answer #6

haha thanks..it is kinda funny I guess lol.

Answer #7

I don’t think you have anything to worry about.

Answer #8

either its the oreos or something is wrong you say you have pains and youre fatigue…well it could be upper gastrointestinal bleeding aka internal bleeding sometimes caused by an ulcer…but it can be worse! go and see a doctor honey im not trying to scare you but please just go and talk to a Dr…it can be serious…Serious or not, you should have a Scan to see what’s going on before it gets to serious. The polyps inside the intestinal walls may be infected and causing IBS (irritable bowl syndrome) This could be one cause, dietary. Sometimes as we age our body changes and allergies occur. Pork, fats, spicy foods, all can trigger this syndrome. It could be as simple as changing your diet. See you primary physician first, he will direct you to a specialist if needed but, insist on a lower GI scan. take care honey and GOD BLESS x0x0 Unique
