How can you cure bursitis other than physical therapy and taking meds?

Answer #1

Depends on whether or not it involves infection. Bursitis that is not infected (from injury or underlying rheumatic disease) can be treated with ice compresses, and rest

Answer #2

Oh I’ve had it for over a year in my shoulder seems like nothings helping

Answer #3

Have you seen a doctor about it recently? You should talk to a doctor about you options, if your bursitis has persisted this long then an anti-inflammatory is needed you may even need a cortisone injection

Answer #4

Ask you doctor about cortizone injections. My music teacher had it last year and the cortizone really helped a lot for her. She is now fully healed.

Answer #5

Yeah I have but I haven’t gone back its a bummer going to the doc! I try to avoid doc visits as much as possible.

Answer #6

I said cortiSone injection. Even if you don’t like going to the doctor you should go, especially if you’re in pain.
