Is it ok to have a crush on a teacher?

I had a crush on my science teacher who was 25. And my paranoia made me think that he only ever smiled for me, but really he’s a teacher, he does that to everyone. I’d say just get over it, it won’t happen. And find someone your own age. Pretty harsh.. But it’s taboo anyways. In some time, you’ll get over it.

i had a crush on my dad :P and i got over it SOOO soon i was like, “are you single daddy?” and he was like, “i am your daddy i am married to mommy thats why you call her mommy” and i was like oh…so u will get over it :P

yeah! but let it just keep being a crush,or an admiration of his manner of teaching or let him be your role model,dont push things

Depends - if you can keep it hidden till the right time, then why not? I’ve to say: conventional relationships can be boring. Doing something out of the box can really keep two people together….. Go ahead….

One thing that I would like to add and point out is that…

          Taboos are always based on paranoia and ignorance

If you and your teacher fall head over heels for each other in a genuine way then keep it hidden till the right time.

As a lot of people say - you can’t choose whom you fall in love with…

I teach high school kids, and I’m one of several young teachers in the school who encounters this situation. My advice would be to not indulge your feelings with this teacher. It’s a very difficult and awkward situation to be in, not only because of societal taboos but because of actual legal problems that can accompany even a rumor of teacher-student personal relationships. Technically, it’s referred to as corruption of a minor, and if word spread about it could cost him his job; I’ve personally seen a co-worker fired because of a false allegation about the extent of his involvement with a disgruntled female student. I think you’ll most likely get over it in time, so just sit tight.

yea it is ok to have a crush on a teacher, as long as you dont get obsessed with him and as long as you know its just a crush and wont go any further. when i started my 1st year in college (i was 17 which is over the legal age for sex here) i fancied my female tutor, and ended up having a fling with her, she was only 28 at the time but somehow someone found out and she got sacked because i was her student (even tho i was of legal age) and after that she never spoke to me again even though i didnt tell anyone about it. and still to this day i actually feel quiet giulty coz if i didnt let the fling happen she would have kept her job.

yeah.. so truth!! when you don’t see that person anymore you will forget and your feeling will go away :)
