What credits do you need in order to become a mechanic?

Like what training ?

Answer #1

You need atleast 2 years of Secondary School and a course in Auto Mechanics.

Answer #2

Have you heard of/considered Job Corps? Many regional centers offer comprehensive, ASE-recognized automotive training. They will also help you with finding a good job or moving on to a technical school after you complete the program. If you focus and work hard it takes about a year to graduate. You can finish your basic education and get a driver’s license if needed as well. I highly recommend it.

Answer #3

Thank you devin. I will look into this :)

Answer #4

the other courses, (GED, Driver’s license, Leadership training) are worked into your curriculum. Overall I think Job Corps is an exceptionally efficient way to get into most any career, and at the same time fixing your credentials if your’e a dropout-mooch like I was lol.

Answer #5

-not to imply that you are a dropout-mooch, no offense :D

Answer #6

Lmao I am. I’m in the 12th grade and I only have 10 credits ! Haven’t attended school since grade 10. Fail
