Legally a person needs to be a minimum of 18 years old and have a permanent job for at least 6 months or more.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM- - GE Finance (Aust) — :(

I signed up for one of their credit card last Christmas to buy something from Harvey Norman which had a 24 months interest free period where you don’t pay anything until 24 months later after the purchase…but ended up having to pay a monthly account fee of $11.00 and $2.95 monthly statement charge and $25 to set up the credit card. !!!

Was lucky that my mum and step-dad was kind enough to loan me the money to pay the whole purchase off quickly as the interest rate after 24 months was more than 19%… so STAY AWAY FROM GE FINANCE…

It sounds awesome to buy something without needing to pay for it til after 24 months later but the fees, hidden charges (which you tend to turn a blind eye too) end up costing you more in the long run.
